The latest press release regarding the new album from Concrete Winds states “this truly is rabies set to music” – a description that is tough to better, hence including it here. It should give you a clue of what you’re in for but we’ll do our best to elaborate further on what to expect when you cram into a sweaty room with these guys in April.
Putting the hel(l) in Helsinki, this Finnish band are set to bring their blasphemous death metal to Roadburn and leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of total audio annihilation. Claiming to explore the extreme in extreme metal, their quest has taken them to the ends of the scorched earth and into darkened caverns in search of the grimiest, filthiest death metal to present to their audience. The results can be found on the pulverising self titled album that arrived in late August – just a little too late to claim to be the soundtrack to summer, but nonetheless an unholy nine tracks cram into a 25 minute runtime of unforgettable blasting.
Prepare to summon your invisible oranges, prepare to unleash your most mighty ‘ough’, prepare for Concrete Winds.
