The Japanese Psych Experience: Damo Suzuki’s Network Appearance at Roadburn 2018 - not once, but twice.

Known best of course for the groundbreaking krautrock he produced with Can on records like Soundtracks and Tago Mago, progressive rock and improvisational legend Damo Suzuki doesn’t need further introduction. Since leaving Can after four albums in 1974, Damo has been scoured and skewered the planet, playing explorational music with a network of different musicians worldwide. His first Roadburn is appearance long overdue, given his collaborations with Black Bombaim, Oresund Space Collective, and more. We’re beyond excited to reveal Damo will be playing Roadburn 2018 not once, but twice…

On Friday, April 20, he will unite with Earthless as part of their residency, for a jam that’s bound to be an occurrence of galaxy-shaking significance. On Saturday, April 21, he will bring one the most genuine neo-krautrock bands around, Minami Deutsch, to improvise alongside him, and keep the impromptu feel of the groundbreaking genre alive and vibrant at Roadburn 2018!

The San Diego Takeover and The Japanese Psych Experience are supported by Brabant C and Performing Arts Fund NL.
