De Mannen Broeders will look familiar to anyone who has frequented Roadburn in the past; comprising Tonnie Dieleman (aka Broeder Dieleman) and Colin van Eeckhout (Amenra, CHVE), they make for a formidable creative force. Originally united at the behest of Le Guess Who? festival in Utrecht, the pair forged a strong bond that has endured and resulted in their debut album Sober Maal – out now via Relapse.

We’re thrilled to present the duo alongside a choir and accompanied by additional musicians to bring their contemplative compositions to life. If you’re yet to immerse yourself in Sober Maal then you can expect to be confronted with folk and drone, spirituality and singularity – an exploration of the paths these men have chosen in life, and the paths that lie in front of us all, each and every day..

These musicians have already brought so much to the Roadburn universe; both have provided us with unforgettable memories and spine-tingling performances. Under the banner of De Mannen Broeders they look set to provide more of the same, yet this time imbued with the alchemical zeal that comes from finding a co-conspirator that will walk alongside you in faith, hope and friendship.
