Jessica Moss to perform her own set at Roadburn 2020 as well

As well as performing alongside Big Brave, Jessica Moss will take to the stage a second time at Roadburn 2020 to perform her own set. Her captivating sonic experimentation and ethereal violin playing will be an all-consuming musical journey for Roadburners lucky enough to witness it live.

Best known as a member of Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Jessica has contributed to a wide variety of musical projects and collaborated with a diverse range of musicians including Carla Bozulich, Roy Montgomery, Zu, film maker Jem Cohen, of course, Big Brave. Having taken up the violin aged 5, we can only assume that such a strong bond with her instrument is key to being able to channel emotions so effectively through her music.

By creating expansive foundations to layer her often delicate strings atop, Moss constructs a soft cocoon of melody and ghostly whispers. It’s both meditative and freeing – an opportunity to lose yourself in her creations, allowing the ebb and flow to nudge you along with the current.

For those who appreciate the intricacies of quiet moment found at RoadburnJessica Moss is the show for you. Seize that moment and hold it close to you; such fragments of peace are all too fleeting.
