Primitive Man will be playing twice at Roadburn 2020

Primitive Man laid out their stall early with the release of Scorn back in 2013; proving over and over that they are one of the most vital and invigorating heavy bands out there at the moment. Their misanthropic take on the world provides a blistering catharsis, matched by their ahem… caustic live performances. Therefore, it’s no hardship on our part to consider them for Roadburn 2020. However, as you know we’re fans of taking a great thing and making it… more Roadburn.

So it’s with great anticipation that we’re delighted to announce that Primitive Man will be playing twice at Roadburn. One set will be a business-as-usual, throat-ripping, bone crushing display of what makes them a must-watch band. And one set will be a run through of their 2017 album, Caustic, which New Noise Magazine described as having “a soul crushing presence of utter nihilism and darkness.” This is the kind of endurance test we relish – an audio pummelling so intense that there’s no way to come out the other side without a shift in our worldview.

“We are beyond excited to be included in this edition of Roadburn. There is not a show more appropriate for us to finally put Caustic to rest as well as some older songs/deep cuts before we gear up to record for a new record a week after we return home. We are going to give some of these new songs a “trial run” as well as play some songs from Scorn that we have not played since Roadburn 2015. Expect only the harshest of vibes in the most positive way.”

We’re ready.

Primitive Man will perform twice at Roadburn 2020.
