COMMISSIONED: Radar Men From The Moon performing Thus Spoke The Beholder

They say that good things come in threes – and 2021 will mark the third Roadburn appearance for Dutch experimentalists, Radar Men From The Moon. The Eindhoven-based space-travellers will descend on Tilburg for a special performance of a commissioned piece they have titled Thus Spoke The Beholder.

Having always embraced evolution within the fuzzed-out confines of RMFTM, this six piece have taken on the task with relish. Thus Spoke The Beholder comprises four segments that transition into different songs. Whilst little is known at this point about what these four sections will contain, it seems fair to assume that the definitions of space and time may well be tested to their limits, and the concept of genre boundaries will be but a distant memory. A browse through their back catalogue will take you on a trip through space rock, psych rock, drone techno, industrial post-punk and more… so it’s no surprise that the destination this time remains a mystery.

The band told us:
“Roadburn and it’s community hold a special place in our hearts. Not only have RMFTM done various shows at Roadburn previously – from back in 2013 ‘Echo Forever Release’, to the latest collaboration with UK’s Gnod titled ‘Temple ov BBV’ – the festival has also been a beacon of inspiration ever since we first attended as teenage-punks many years ago. That’s why we’re honoured to be invited back to Roadburn this year, it truly gives us a glimmer of hope during these dark times and we’re excited to play our new material!”

We’re ready to follow them to outer space and beyond…

Radar Men From The Moon will perform Thus Spoke The Beholder at Roadburn Redux which takes place between April 16-18.
