Ahab to play The Call Of The Wretched Sea in its entirety at Roadburn 2017

A little way outside of Budapest you’ll find the Tárnok Quarry – a place that has been the source of many fruitful and historic endeavours over many centuries. Now this magical location will host The Devil’s Trade – for a very special performance of The Call of The Iron Peak recorded specially for Roadburn Redux. We’re thrilled to be the conduit for such an evocative and unusual performance.

At the tail end of Summer 2020, these eleven tracks of folk-drenched-in-darkness made their way into our collective consciousness and left us wanting more. Of course, we were due to welcome The Devil’s Trade to Roadburn last year and although a face to face experience is impossible for now, we’re delighted to play a part in bringing these songs to life in a new way this April.

The Devil’s Trade, AKA Dávid Makó commented: “Having been a lighthouse in the underground music scene Roadburn will show the way again, giving hope and cure once more for us. To take part in this event is not only a once-in-a-lifte-time experience and a huge honor but also a chance for me to let out everything that the past year buried in me after The Call Of The Iron Peak got released.”

The time has come to unbury the buried, and release what has been held inside. Join us for this very special performance, exclusive to Roadburn Redux, between April 16-18.
