COMMISSIONED: The Nest performing Her True Nature

Wolvennest are a band that truly conquered the mainstage in 2019 when they presented their album Void in full, and again this year, we have no doubt they’ll do the same when they bring Temple to the very same stage. And whilst Wolvennest are a band that stimulate all our senses, and make the hairs on the back of our neck stand up… we couldn’t help but ask for more.

The Nest is a collaboration between members of Wolvennest and some special – as yet unannounced – guests. Each individual participating retains their own signature sound and identity, but comes together to create something unified. This entirely original, commissioned performance will combine meditative, ritualistic elements with psychedelic sounds and blackened doom metal, as well as uniting a group of long-time friends on stage for the first time together in this constellation. Taking in topics such as nature, mysticism, love, and death, The Nest will create something all-consuming, ably assisted with a poster by Art of Maquenda and live visuals from A Thousand Lost Civilizations.

More will be revealed in due course, but for now the prospect of this performance must remain tantalisingly short and sweet. All they’ve told us is “You have to name a thing to make it live”, and live it will.

The Nest will perform Her True Nature at Roadburn Redux, which will take place between April 16-18.
