Zombie Zombie

Psych has been a part of Roadburn since day dot – its many forms and cosmic combinations have imbued every edition of the festival. The upcoming Roadburn will be no different in that regard, but we’ve managed to snag a very exciting band that will excite and delight the psych-appreciators among us! Having already graced us with his presence when he joined Slift for a show during their residency in 2022, Etienne Jaumet will return – this time with the rest of his merry band in tow; Zombie Zombie will make their Roadburn debut in April.

The band will have a brand new album out in the Spring magnificently titled Funk Kraut. The title should give you an idea of what we’re anticipating from their live show; Zombie Zombie have the knack for combining groovy electronics and trippy motorik rhythms. Their previous releases have garnered them quite the cult following as they’ve traversed the outer reaches of cinematic synths and timeless soundtrack-worthy tension building.

The duo has now expanded to be a trio, and they’re already anticipating their Roadburn set, telling us: “We are so psyched to be part of this heavy music gathering, and honoured to be one of the rare French bands booked at Roadburn festival 2025, to play our new tunes out loud!”
