Spring 2024 saw the genesis of Bacht’n de Vulle Moane; in less than a year the mysterious Belgian duo released a feral sounding EP titled Klaagrituelen and caused ripples in the underground black metal scene in Europe. The band’s name translates to ‘behind the full moon’ and shortly after April’s full moon, the pair will make their presence felt at Roadburn.
Embodying the raw vehemence of black metal, Bacht’n de Vulle Moane throw in pulsating analog electronics to further enhance the industrial chill that pervades their sound. Known only by the monikers A.A.K and Scum, they may not come across as the most friendly of Roadburn performers, but they’re for sure two of the most intense.
They comment: “Over the years, we have witnessed many eclectic performances at Roadburn. Being a part of this festival now is truly an honour. It’s wild to think that just a year ago, Bacht’n de Vulle Moane didn’t even exist, and yet here we are, about to take the stage.
“Expect a blistering set of unrelenting sonic intensity.”
