performing Line The Wall
Following a triumphant performance in 2022, Bo Ningen will return to Roadburn in April – this time to perform their iconic 2012 album, Line The Wall, in full on the main stage.
They tell us:
“We’re absolutely excited about our comeback to Roadburn and especially this time performing our 2nd album Line The Wall in full. It’s our loudest, most aggressive sounding, and admittedly most popular album. Still ferociously fuzzy and we’d like to show you the updated 2025 version of Line The Wall exclusively for Roadburn. “
With their roots in Japan, the psychedelic four piece convened in London where their irrepressible appetite for experimentation has been galvanised into propulsive action. Line The Wall is a perfect example of their ability to blend gentle swirls of psychedelia with more angular elements that compel the momentum of the album forwards. Bo Ningen have traversed all over the sonic map over the past 15 years, but Line The Wall is a testament to how well rounded their vision was already on this, their second full length.
Sounding as essential today as it did the first time we heard it, Line The Wall being performed in its entirety is a tantalising addition to the final day of Roadburn 2025. Embodying so much of what makes psych an essential ingredient for the full Roadburn experience, Bo Ningen offers up the promise of an unforgettable set; steeped in throbbing rhythms, cloaked in fuzz and driven by an electrifying delivery. This is a must-see set for Roadburners of all stripes.
