We’ve had to keep this one under wraps until after Rewire festival was over, but we’re thrilled to announce that Ex-Easter Island Head will be joining the Roadburn 2025 line up in just a matter of days from now. The Liverpool based ensemble come from the ever reliable, always exciting Rocket Recordings stable of artists; they’ll be a welcome addition for the experimental appreciators amongst us.
If you’re yet to get caught up with their latest release, Norther, then making good use of the travel time to Tilburg will have you caught up. It’s a six piece collection of hypnotic movements that take in both gently minimalist sounds and deftly layered maximalist undulations. It’s a glorious thing to behold.
The band tell us: “We are honoured and delighted to be revealed as a last minute addition to the amazing Roadburn lineup. It’s great to see label mates Smote and Gnod on there amongst people we’ve had the pleasure of sharing a stage with in the past – The Ex, Big Brave – and amazing acts like ØXN and Penelope Trappes. It’s our first time at the festival and we’re looking forward to seeing how our material sits in contrast to a lot of the heavier stuff on the lineup. Here’s hoping we get to see some of it too!”
Please join us in welcoming Ex-Easter Island Head to the Roadburn line up – last but very far from least.
