We agreed to keep this announcement under wraps until now because – as some of you might have had the pleasure of witnessing first hand – The Mon have been on tour recently. The Mon is the solo project of Ufomammut bassist and vocalist Urlo and just last month released a new album, Songs of Embrace. A sister album to last year’s Songs of Abandon, the new release continues the psychedelic journey.
Whilst we’re certainly keeping Urlo busy whilst he’s at Roadburn this year, the addition of this slot for The Mon offers up a moment of introspective calm, an opportunity for exploration through undulating soundscapes and along winding paths out into the ether. Join Urlo as he leads us through the terrain he has crafted from ambient sounds, dark folk and hypnotic synths.
