Rising from the psychedelic underbelly of Gothenburg, Sweden, Fauna emerges from the fog. Already out in the world are a handful of singles that showcase their primal, dizzying take on global psych… and a new album looms on the horizon, poised to fully immerse us in their technicolour world.
Of their upcoming trip to Roadburn, Fauna tell us: ”It feels quite surreal, and something of a full-circle moment, to bring Fauna to Roadburn. Some of the acts that have passed through Tilburg have definitely been part of reshaping our idea of heavy music, which eventually led us into the world of psychedelia and electronic music.”
Bound to the earth, but reaching for the stars, Fauna encompasses so much of what is great about psychedelic music; propulsive beats, ethereal sounds, kosmische vibes. Their first foray into Roadburn territory is one for those among us who like to transport to somewhere otherworldly whilst our bodies are visiting Tilburg.
