Roadburn 2022 ticket & accommodation info
October 21, 2021
Our first 2022 lineup announcement will take place next week, and we wanted to get some practical information out to you in advance, so that when the bands get announced, you can focus solely on that. So, read on for information about ticketing and accommodation. If what you want to know is not covered here, click through to read our FAQs, and if you’re still lost or confused drop us a line – info@013.nl and we’ll do our best to help you!
So, firstly – TICKETS!
If you have a ticket for 2020 that you didn’t return, then it’s automatically rolled over. You don’t need to do anything else. If you want to buy a ticket for Roadburn 2022, then a limited number of these will be going on sale on October 26 at 7pm CEST (6pm BST, 1pm EDT, 11am PDT).
Click here for all the info.
You may notice that this is an increase on the 2020 price – there’s no getting away from the fact that costs of staging a festival have increased astronomically over the past two years, whilst the entire industry has suffered. Much of this is out of our hands, unfortunately.
ACCOMMODATION
We refunded everybody’s Stadscamping Tilburg accommodation tickets from 2020 once it became evident a 2021 edition was not possible. We now have information to share about the various accommodation options at the campsite in Tilburg – PLUS some new hotel options! Similar to the above, various price increases that have been passed on to us have made the Stadscamping Tilburg options more expensive. In order to offer the best range of choices at the best prices, Roadburn has teamed up with two hotels in Eindhoven (one with a swimming pool too!), to offer hotel packages. These packages also include bus back to Eindhoven, meaning you don’t need to worry about the last train.
Click here to see all the packages and options available to you, both in Tilburg and Eindhoven.
That’s all we’ve got so far in terms of practical information, but as more comes along we’ll share it with you. If you have questions about international travel and COVID protocols, we want to assure you that we’re keeping an eye on everything as it continues to evolve. We hope that by the time April rolls around things will be both easier and more clear in terms of travel and events. If there are any protocols mandated for Roadburn – be that mask wearing, vaccinations or anything else, we will let you know in good time so that you can make informed choices.
Set your alarms for tickets if you need to pick one up… and stay alert, band announcements are on their way!

Roadburn 2022: Official Artwork - Valreza Collective
September 30, 2021
At Roadburn music and visual art is tightly bound together; visual accompaniment to sonic exploration provides a more immersive experience that we wholeheartedly embrace. In keeping with what has become a festival tradition, we’re thrilled to announce the visual artists leaving their mark on Roadburn 2022.
The Finnish Valreza Collective is a new endeavour – created in summer 2020 – but featuring two artists who have extensive experience and unrestrained vision. Tekla Vály and Tereza Holubová are multidisciplinary creatives who utilise photography, sculpture, film, costume and performance to create eerie pieces that explore both darkness and light, horror and joy – and more specifically, they often navigate the places where those opposites intersect.
Roadburn 2022 will be an edition like no other; created in an uncertain landscape for the live music industry but shaped with optimism. The visual representation of the festival’s approach required a creative mindset that could tap into the dichotomy of the current state of flux and design something that captures the passion, vulnerability, darkness, hope, joy, and sheer weight of human emotion that fuels Roadburn. Tekla and Tereza approached the task with enthusiasm and have produced a vivid piece of art.
The full eight minute video can be watched here:
Tekla’s artistry may already be familiar to some Roadburners; she has created album artwork for Oranssi Pazuzu – Mestarin Kynsi, Grave Pleasures – Motherblood, Hexvessel – When We Are Death, and most recently for Warning’s Watching from a Distance Live at Roadburn album. Meanwhile, Tereza has exhibited her work in Japan, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Finland.
“Working with Roadburn is a great opportunity for us as an artistic collective to gather more experience and work with a team of professionals in a different field. We are extremely excited, honoured and overall thankful to have this opportunity to represent Roadburn Festival visually.”
Apart from the full video above, a shorter teaser on our social channels comes with sonic accompaniment from Thomas and Milena of GOLD. The otherworldly psychedelia of the celebratory rituals captured on film are full of jubilation and steeped in euphoria. An uncanny undercurrent hints at an unspoken darkness and of supernatural influence.
We’re delighted to present the work of Valreza as part of Roadburn 2022; we wholeheartedly encourage you to immerse yourself in the full eight minute experience and embrace everything that Tekla and Tereza have offered up to us.

EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: The Lovecraft Sextet: De Mysteriis [Musicorum]
September 2, 2021
The Lovecraft Sextet marks the long-awaited return of all round multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Jason Köhnen into the realms of Darkjazz. The forthcoming debut album, ‘In Memoriam’ (out on Denovali Records on September 24), sees Köhnen further explore his unbridled love for cinematic jazz-oriented compositions.
Inspired by death, release and rebirth, ‘In Memoriam’ also incorporates funereal aspects of classical, operatic and Gregorian music, adding tonal depth to his previous work with The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation.
Today, we’re thrilled to premiere “De Mysteriis [Musicorum],“ the second single of ‘In Memoriam’, which, like the whole record, also ties in with his first narrative short story that will be part of the album release.
