When we first heard Not Here Not Gone – the new album from Blackwater Holylight – we were transported to another place. Where exactly is hard to pin down; we could almost feel the sea breeze from a pink hued Californian sunset against our skin, and yet where we ended up was also somewhere that can only be described as otherworldly. Whilst this still sounds like Blackwater Holylight, Not Here Not Gone is a step up in their songwriting craft – it’s enigmatic and effervescent.

So it was with a clear idea in mind that we invited them to make their Roadburn debut: we wanted to know whether they’d play the album in full. Tilburg has much to offer out of town Roadburners, but replacing what is likely to be a drizzly April evening with an infusion of West Coast ethereal beauty is something that we need a little help with. Thankfully Blackwater Holylight were on board, and we’re delighted to announce that they’ll play the album in full at Roadburn.

“We’re absolutely elated to perform our new record Not Here, Not Gone in its entirety at the 2026 Roadburn Festival. Playing Roadburn has been a dream since the band’s inception, and it’s an incredible honor to finally share this album with everyone in such a legendary setting.”

With only one track available to listen to at the time of our announcement, you will get a hint of what’s in store, but the full, beautiful picture will be revealed in the coming months. It’s been a long while coming, but this April. Blackwater Holylight will make their Roadburn debut – we can’t wait.
