Roadburn is always evolving, but every now and again it’s possible to pin-point a show that clearly opens a door towards a new avenue that we can then continue to explore. One such show was when experimental hip hop duo Dälek made their Roadburn debut back in 2017. Not only are we thrilled to welcome them back for 2026, but we’re happy to learn that their previous visit was an impactful show for them too.
Dälek’s Will Brooks tells us:
“We are very excited to return to Roadburn! It’s been amazing to watch all of the incredible “non-metal” artists that have been invited to the festival in the years since we were first invited to play. That performance at Het Patronaat will always be a cherished memory for us. This already beautiful festival has grown into something even more special. We are honored to be invited back and to be part of the Roadburn festival family. Mad love to Walter, Becky, and the whole team.“
Having been granted a peek at their upcoming new album, we can confirm that Dälek remains a musical force for smashing boundaries and embracing influence no matter where it comes from. Who knows where they’ll lead us this time around?
