Dool will present their as yet untitled new album at Roadburn 2020

Back in 2016 we hosted Dool at the Cul de Sac – the smallest venue we’ve ever used at Roadburn – and the buzz generated from that packed out show reverberated around the festival for the rest of the weekend. At that point, Dool had released a grand total of one song, but they’d captured our imaginations and we knew we could give them the platform to enrapture others.

Enrapture they did – and this Rotterdam five-piece soon inked a deal with Prophecy Productions and set out to take their live show to as many stages around Europe as possible. Their intoxicating blend of psychedelic metal, gothic pop and dark rock was bundled up and packaged together in the form of 2017 album Here Now, There Then which was released to widespread critical acclaim.

If you’re not yet on the Dool bandwagon, there’s still time to hop aboard as it will be making a stop at Roadburn 2020. As the band gear up for the release of their as-yet-unnamed second album, we’re thrilled to announce that they’ll be premiering their new material at Roadburn next year. We may have to wait a little longer for the juicy details of the release, but much like it was in 2016 our faith in them delivering the goods is unwavering.

Ryanne Van Dorst (guitars/ vocals) comments: “After giving us a showcase spot in Cul de Sac back in 2016, with nothing more than just a single song released and a handful of shows played, Roadburn basically gave birth to us in a way. Now, we’ve been invited to premiere our new album on the 2020 edition. We couldn’t be more proud to enter this new era of Dool together with you all at Roadburn.”

All those who wander are Dool
