It’s been five years since ENDON were last – briefly – here in Europe, but with their recent album Fall of Spring still ringing in our ears, we knew it was high time to bring them back. The Japanese three-piece comprising Taichi Nagura, Koki Miyabe, and Taro Aiko have charted the recent tumultuous years inside the ENDON camp – punctuated by the departure of their drummer, and the death of brother and band member Etsuo Nagura – and channeled their experiences into Fall of Spring.

Eschewing more traditional ‘rock’ instrumentation in favour of electronics, this renewed incarnation of ENDON has absorbed every emotional laceration and reconstituted each into a thread of the sonic tapestry they have woven across four eviscerating tracks. It’s not an easy listen, but from beneath the static an inner core of intensity and resilience shines through. It’s our honour to host ENDON at Roadburn, and to witness the raw emotion of their latest offerings unspooling in real time.

Of their Roadburn performance, ENDON said: “We are honored to be invited to this gathering. We want to draw a singular line and show it to you all.”
