There are many fine cultural exports that have found their way out of Copenhagen and into the world at large. But one of our recent favourites is EYES – and we’re delighted to be able to announce that they’ll be at Roadburn this coming April.
Having released their latest album – the manga-influenced, narrative odyssey that is Spinner – EYES have proceeded to take their eviscerating live performances on the road, up, down and across the continent. Their hardcore infused metal still retains some traces of their earlier noise rock sound but wherever possible they seem to embody the sonic equivalent of a punch to the jugular. This unhinged energy is most prominent during their live shows, so we consider ourselves lucky to be doing our part in delivering this experience to you.
For those amongst us who like to do their homework before showing up in Tilburg, there’s plenty to delve into within the EYES universe – Spinner opens up a whole world of emotions explored through a variety of characters brought to life by the band. Their meticulous attention to detail gives way to explosive vigor on stage. Come for the thoughtful metaphors and explorations of the human psyche, stay for the effervescent energy.
