Perhaps you’ve already managed to catch Habak on one of their self-booked DIY-centric forays into Europe, or perhaps reading these words will be your very first introduction to the band. Wherever you are in your Habak journey, we’re delighted to announce that they’ll be playing Roadburn this coming April, so it’s time to get caught up properly.

We probably don’t need to rely on Google Translate to decipher their own description of their sound: crust melódico. It sums them up well, but belies the electrifying nature of their output. Hailing from Tijuana, Mexico, Habak have been forging their own path for a decade, determined to make their mark on the underground. They caught our ear a few years ago, and their joining forces with Persistent Vision Records has helped elevate them into the eyeline of yet more folk around the globe.

Habak comment: “We have always been amazed by how Roadburn fosters a strong sense of community between attendees and artists, a connection that resonates deeply with Habak’s heart. We truly appreciate how Roadburn embraces authenticity and a grassroots spirit, creating a space where people come together in unison.

“Performing at Roadburn would not only give us the chance to share our music with an engaged audience but also provide an opportunity to build meaningful friendships and grow within this vibrant community. Many of our favorite bands have played this festival, so we are very happy and honored to be part of it!”

With a head of steam building, Habak have a solid foundation behind them and a bright future ahead of them. Do not miss their furious socio-political influenced, crust-infused post-metal and screamo when it rages its way through Tilburg.
