Heaven In Her Arms had grand plans to promote their blistering album White Halo here in Europe. Buoyed by the positive reception to the album, the Tokyo-based band had planned a European tour in 2020… and then those plans crumbled as the world shut down. Making shows happen on the other side of the world is no easy feat, so the band retreated and regrouped. But far from idling, they have been hard at work on a new album, titled The End of Purification, which will see the light of day next year. We have invited the band to present White Halo – better late than never – and a second set that will showcase their newest material alongside some classic tracks.
White Halo marked a turning point for the band as they truly embraced the full scope of post-metal, mixing in grand post-rock flourishes to their hardcore sensibilities. A release via Translation Loss saw them reach a broader audience, so as word spread so did anticipation for a return to European shores. We’re more than happy to help fan those flames of anticipation once again – and with new material due in 2026, we have good reason to be excited for the return of Heaven In Her Arms.
Of their upcoming performances, the band comments: “It is an incredible honor to be performing two special sets at Roadburn Festival. Back in 2020, we had planned a European tour to present White Halo, but it was unfortunately postponed due to the pandemic. Now, with the completion of our long-awaited new album, the timing feels just right.
“At Roadburn we will finally perform White Halo in full, and on the second day, we’ll present songs from the upcoming record alongside a few older pieces. This will be our first appearance in Europe since 2017, and we couldn’t imagine a better occasion to mark the beginning of this new chapter.”
