Kowloon Walled City are one of those bands that people could swear they’ve seen at Roadburn before; they’re very much in our wheel house. Straddling the always-interesting space between noise-rock and multiple other genres, Kowloon Walled City belong here with us – and we’re happy to say that finally we’ll be able to welcome them to the Roadburn stage this coming April.
With five full lengths and change to their name, the band has a rich back catalogue to explore ahead of their arrival in April. Those among us who like our noise or math rock with a hefty dose of bleakness, and just the right balance between tension and release Kowloon Walled City have us covered. With rumours abound that new music is in the works, perhaps we’ll get a glimpse of which direction they’ll be heading in for 2026.
