At the time of writing this, things have gone somewhat dark over at Mandy, Indiana HQ. But rather than being a sign of dormancy, this silence very much has the air of “the calm before the technicolour storm”. When, where and how they reveal their return in full, consider us amongst those waiting with bated breath. Having had the pleasure of their company at Roadburn back in 2022, we’re all very aware of what a galvanising experience their psychedelic and experimental noise can become.

To get some gauge on what to expect, you can study their debut release, I’ve Seen A Way, for clues. From propulsive beats to angular percussion, chunky riffs and impassioned vocals, Mandy, Indiana squeeze a dizzying array of stimuli into their sound – without ever gilding the lily or crowding out the clarity of their vision. Their expansive sonic palette gives us cause to believe we’re in good hands whenever, wherever, however their sophomore album materialises.

For now, we’re preparing to welcome them back to Roadburn for a second time; something tells us they’ll have plenty to share with us once again.
