One Leg One Eye

One Leg One Eye has been on our radar since …And Take The Black Worm With Me dropped in 2022. The mastermind behind the project is Ian Lynch of Lankum, and we’ve been itching to get him over to Roadburn to perform this material since we first heard it. That time has come – this April, One Leg One Eye will bring the black worm to Tilburg. 

Whilst Ian occasionally dips into the same palette as Lankum, the pictures he paints through One Leg One Eye are a different kind of beast – one that leans on a rawness more commonly found in black metal, one that immerses itself in hypnotic drone, one that embraces the ragged edges of noise, all whilst keeping folk within the frame. The result is something distinctively mesmerizing, with a dark and haunting undercurrent. Field recordings and distorted loops add to the texture whilst Ian’s voice adds an aching note of melancholia. 

This is a highly anticipated performance for us within the Roadburn crew, so please join us in giving One Leg One Eye a hearty Roadburn welcome.
