SPILL GOLD wowed us during Roadburn Redux, stepping in and stepping up to take us on a psychedelic journey that reverberated with hypnotic loops and danceable rhythms. Back then, they spoiled us with a full run through of their then still-new album Highway Hypnosis. Now, three years on they return to the Roadburn fold, with a new album imminent and with their sights firmly set on getting your body moving once again.
Bridging the gap between Amsterdam and Paris, Spill Gold is Rosa Ronsdorf and Nina de Jong and their upcoming album, titled ZaZa will land this Spring via Teenage Menopause. If you weren’t lucky enough to catch them at Roadburn Redux or in the years since, then you’ll be pleased to know that many treasures await you. They embrace the otherworldliness of krautrock, mixing it up with ethereal dreamy pop and darkly enticing electronics. There is purpose in their pulsating explorations; ZaZa’s creation is rooted in “hope that longs for an anti-anthropocentric and non-patriarchal world”.
Of their return to Roadburn – this time in the physical realm – Spill Gold tell us:
“We can’t wait to get back to Roadburn and share our music with you in the physical realm because it’s all about exchange. We feel honored to share a Line-Up with amazing bands such as Lankum, clipping. and Jesus & Mary Chain.”
Suspend your reliance on space and time as you know it and let Rosa and Nina guide you to a new way of being.
