Those among us who love a bit of noise rock in our lives will no doubt attest to the fact that Unsane are responsible for some of the genre’s foundational texts (alongside The Jesus Lizard, and Flipper, and Cherubs, and and and…). We’re fortunate enough to be hosting this legendary New York band to perform one of their early, influential albums – Occupational Hazard – in full at Roadburn 2026.

Perhaps you caught Human Impact at the 2025 edition; Chris Spencer was clearly won over by the experience as he’s keen to return with his main squeeze, telling us:

“We’re really excited to get to play the entirety of Occupational Hazard at Roadburn in April ’26! Revisiting this record live will be an amazing experience, as we’ve never done it from beginning to end for an audience ever. For me personally, there is something really special about translating the album experience to a live one. Transitioning between tunings song to song and using the original album dynamics will be a challenging, new experience for us. Having worked on the remastering for the reissue that should be out in February has really made me want to play them all again. We’re super psyched to get to do this!”

The feeling is mutual – we already know that this is going to be one for the Roadburn history books. Don’t say we didn’t warn you: this one is going to pop off!
