Use Knife

USE KNIFE will make their Roadburn debut at the 2024 edition of the festival – bringing their hypnotic rhythms and wholly original collaborative sounds to Tilburg. The Belgian-Iraqi trio bloom into a four-piece when performing live as projections add another element to their already intense performance; we can’t wait to host this unique band at Roadburn. 

Ghent-based synth enthusiasts Stef Heeren and Kwinten Mordijck (both formerly of  Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat) were already creating electronic music together when they crossed paths with Iraqi musician, Saif Al-Qaissy, who adds Arabic percussion and vocals to the Use Knife DNA. Their first compositions as a trio were birthed under the constraints of lockdown’s limited abilities, but post-pandemic they have unfurled into a living, breathing live entity that pulsates with radiant energy. 

Join Use Knife as they enter the Roadburn realm, bringing their experimental sounds and rich experiences with them.
