Deze voormalige locomotiefwerkplaats is na een ongekende transformatie uitgegroeid tot dé culturele hotspot van Tilburg: een bibliotheek midden in de hippe Spoorzone. Al vind je in dit meervoudig-prijswinnend gebouw véél meer dan enkel een indrukwekkende collectie boeken. Van ‘s morgens vroeg tot ‘s avonds laat staan de deuren open. Online of offline, werk of privé, bijkletsen of bijspijkeren: in de LocHal loopt alles naadloos in elkaar over. Gratis én rolstoeltoegankelijk, met tal van gratis activiteiten en heerlijke, goedkope koffie: stap binnen en laat je inspireren! 

Op zaterdagmiddag staat LocHal in het teken van twee bands: Myriad’s Veil en Deepsky!
Myriad’s Veil is een muzikaal project gevormd door Temple Fang-gitarist Ivy van der Veer en singer-songwriter Ismena. Met een muzikale reis die begon in een huwelijk, vonden ze een manier om hun verschillende stijlen te verenigen en iets nieuw te creëren. Het resultaat is hun debuutalbum ‘Pendant’ dat folk met psychedelische elementen combineert. Deepsky drukt het ontastbare uit in geluid. Thema’s zoals planeten, micro universa en prehistorische tijdperken voelen ver weg en abstract. Geïnspireerd door deze thema’s neemt Deepsky je mee voorbij tijd en ruimte via muzikale improvisaties.

But in this multiple award-winning building you will find much more than just an impressive collection of books. The doors are open from early in the morning until late at night. Online or offline, work or private, catching up or brushing up: in the LocHal everything seamlessly flows together. Free admission and wheelchair accessible, with numerous free activities and delicious, affordable coffee: step inside and be inspired! 

On Saturday afternoon, LocHal will be all about two bands: Myriad’s Veil and Deepsky!
Myriad’s Veil is a musical project formed by Temple Fang guitarist Ivy van der Veer and singer-songwriter Ismena. With a musical journey that began in a marriage, they found a way to unite their different styles and create something new. The result is their debut album ‘Pendant,’ which combines folk with psychedelic elements.
Deepsky expresses the intangible through sound. Themes such as planets, micro universes, and prehistoric eras feel distant and abstract. Inspired by these themes, Deepsky takes you beyond time and space through musical improvisations.
