Roadburn presents OFFROAD – a complimentary programme that will take place in Tilburg during the festival. OFFROAD will bring the city – and its inhabitants – closer to Roadburn, and vice versa. A number of venues throughout the city will participate in OFFROAD, offering discounts, performances, activities, special menus and more to visitors. Tilburg residents and visitors from all over will get a taste of what Roadburn is about, whilst Roadburn attendees can explore the city and add a little extra to their usual Roadburn experience if they wish. Roadburn has facilitated OFFROAD in conjunction with the city of Tilburg.

Kafee 't Buitenbeentje
Join us at Kaffee ‘t Buitenbeentje on April 20th as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Yama’s debut album ‘Ananta’ with a special reunion performance. Yama, the renowned heavy stoner outfit, is making an one-time comeback, bringing their diverse and genre-blending repertoire influenced by stoner, doom, post-rock, and grunge to their hometown. Get ready for a night filled with beloved classics and some unheard tracks.
Club Smederij
The unique and raw building of Club Smederij, once serving as a hangar for train engines, is the breeding ground for exciting electronic music-driven events. In this club, with an almost Berlin-esque underground atmosphere, they host a Saturday afterparty featuring Rotterdam’s hardcore and drum ‘n’ bass label PRSPCT. PRSPCT parties are the biggest baddest most insane raves Hard Electronic music has to offer.
Stadscamping Tilburg
During Roadburn Stadscamping Tilburg is not only our campsite. They will host an OFFROAD stage with Tilburg’s own Docile Bodies and ENMA, dark wave music project Vonder, the cinematic post-rock band Dead Duck, the ambient instrumental post-rock project Thistle Sifter and high energy trio The Ax Effect.
The Cat's Back
This place is known for its wide selection of American beers, the best homemade fast food, and a lively punk atmosphere that makes it a brilliant spot to hang out. This welcoming bar has another great OFFROAD program this year: on Thursday, you’ll catch synth-based acts BHPL & Raderkraft, and on Sunday, you’ll enjoy delightful tunes and equally tasty tacos during The Cat’s Offroad Block Party.
LOC Brewery
Discover Tilburg’s hotspot LOC Brewery – a brewery and restaurant in one. Immerse yourself in the finest selection of craft beers complemented by an array of appetizers. With twenty-one taps in constant rotation and an array of canned beers, there is plenty of choice for every beer enthusiast. Additionally, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can rock out to the heavy sounds of Gomer Pyle, Bongloard, and Radeloos///Ziedend.
Cul de Sac
At Cul de Sac, they effortlessly find the perfect balance every day between delicious drinks, amazing live music, and lively dance nights. On Saturday, April 20, the café goes OFFROAD with the mysterious Yantras, kraut-rock trio Fellatio, and the (post)punk and wave sounds of Richie Dagger.
Little Devil
Metalheads and rock enthusiasts have been frequenting rock café Little Devil for years. In addition to a wide selection of bands, you can enjoy fantastic parties featuring alternative music and a good glass of beer. During OFFROAD, you can catch shows by Alabaster, Atomic Vulture, Void Diver, Zwart, and Dodentocht here.
De Pont
On Thursday, April 18th, OFFROAD takes over De Pont. OFFROAD presents multidisciplinary artist Ramses3000, who will respond in his performance to the captivating exhibition IN THE MIST OF IT ALL, ABOVE FRONT TEARS by French artist Laure Prouvost – currently on display in the museum.

Pallbearer Listening Session x The Junction
Roadburn was the site of the first ever European Pallbearer performance in 2013. The festival holds a special place in the bands heart and we’re thrilled to announce there will be an exclusive Mind Burns Alive listening session as part of this year’s official OFFROAD programming. Do you want to be the first to listen to the new album in its entirety, a month before its official release? Then make sure to join us at The Junction on Friday, April 19th from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.

As part of OFFROAD, Fedrik Vaessen will exhibit his work. He regards his works as organisms bathing in fluids, intertwined with the human-made world. Beings and objects move through an ambiguous environment, operating together and forming a strange blend of the organic and the mechanical. Within these images, he finds elements to extract and use in his work.
In search of ‘found objects’ to strip them of their functionality, he then transforms them into a new archetypal and cultural existence. He nourishes his works, and at some point, these entities begin to nourish themselves. You can find traces in them that suggest what they once were or what they could become in the future.
Hall90 (Hall Of Fame)
After the recent renovation of creative sanctuary Hall of Fame, artistic hub ‘Hall90’ has emerged. During OFFROAD Hall90 will host a tattoo exhibition: tattoo artists, both established and emerging, from across the Netherlands will showcase their designs in an exhibition (Robert Aalbers – Clean Solid Tattoo among others). The exhibition will feature diverse artists with unique styles.
Kraakkelder (Theater De Nieuwe Vorst)
Philosophy of Heavy Metal: get ready to bang your head while expanding your mind! As part of the OFFROAD program, De Vage Bond presents an exhilarating philosophy night on Thursday 18th of April, this time dedicated to the fascinating theme of heavy metal music.
Delve into the depths of philosophical inquiry as Professors Joost Vervoort and Bryce Huebner unravel the aesthetics and profound transformative essence embedded within heavy metal. Beyond the thundering electric guitars lies a world of philosophical exploration waiting to be uncovered. And of course, a night of intellectual indulgence isn’t complete without a band, so prepare to rock after these two lectures. The lectures start at 20:30hrs.
Metal Bussines Club
Get to know the Metal Business Club during OFFROAD! Metal Business Club (MetalBC) is a business network as you may already know, but with a unique twist!
Just like with other networking clubs, you’ll enjoy the benefits of constructive business networking in a relaxed atmosphere. The big difference? Here, you connect with like-minded individuals who share the same passion: heavy music such as metal, punk rock, or hardcore. On Fridays, you’ll meet the Metal Business Club and its members at Seats2Meet. Registration is mandatory due to capacity constraints.
Sint-Dionysius church
During 013 Night Fever on April 18th at the St. Dionysius Church, Paul Scholey will speak from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM on a profound theme that often resonates in both religion and heavy music. In “Do you run away from who you are? Suffering in philosophical and religious perspective” Paul Scholey will guide us through a journey of insight and reflection with his engaging short stories. During moments of silence, everyone is welcome to come forward to light candles or simply enjoy the music.

How can YOU contribute to a safe Roadburn for everyone? – Workshop Bystander Intervention
In this workshop you will learn how to intervene when you witness sexual transgressive behaviour or harassment. You will get a crash course on gender norms and how they support a system of inequality and violence. Then we will explore multiple ways to make a difference. This workshop will be facilitated by Laurens Kleijntjens and Ciel Rombouts from Feniks, the emancipation expertise center in Tilburg. Everyone is welcome but the hosts want to especially invite men to participate.
Cinecitta
On Sunday, April 21st, Cinecitta will be screening the documentary ‘Mutiny In Heaven’ at 11:00 am for OFFROAD attendees. Mutiny In Heaven recounts the rise, success, and inevitable downfall of The Birthday Party, Nick Cave’s debut band. It’s a compelling and immersive tale of epic struggle, artistic genius, and total dysfunctionality.

Rode Salon (Theater De Nieuwe Vorst)
Get acquainted with the Finnish label Svart Records at Theater De Nieuwe Vorst! On Saturday, April 20th, Svart Records will be presenting their 2024 releases, featuring an interview with Kati Rán and a listening session of their upcoming album “SÁLA”. Café Bakker
At Café Bakker, you can enjoy a diverse and enticing array of Dutch (craft) beers. The menu is regularly updated, depending on the season, new creations from the brewers, and suggestions from guests.
During OFFROAD, Café Bakker is the place to be for a hearty chicken skewer with fries and a half-liter of beer for €20. Cheers!

At Rosalie you can drop in for a bite and a drink, at any time of the day. Rosalie serves excellent (natural) wine and a generous selection of beer in cans, bottles, and on tap. The international dishes are prepared over an open fire. During Roadburn you can enjoy their OFFROAD beefburger or oyster mushroom burger menu, for €18,-.
The Cat's Back
During Roadburn, The Cat’s Back offers OFFROAD food specials: of course, a burger is a must-have; The Garfield. A smoked and grilled black angus burger with fried streaky bacon, lettuce, red cabbage slaw, fried onion, and a fried egg (€18.50). For the veggies, The Cat’s Back serves homemade Lebanese flatbread with falafel, pickled red onion, lettuce, carrot, red cabbage slaw, and sriracha (€17.50).
